What is your role at Futureproof?
I’m a Senior Consultant at Futureproof. I work with clients from various industries, helping them advance their sustainable development to bring about positive social and environmental change. I particularly enjoy the strategic aspects of the role and the opportunity to work with my colleagues and clients on different projects, from materiality assessment and climate risk to stakeholder engagement and ESG governance.
What shaped your interest in sustainability?
Growing up in beautiful regional WA and seeing the effect of the changing climate on the landscape first sparked my curiosity. I’ve always had a strong interest in corporate social responsibility, social impact and communications. These elements have been a big part of my professional experience for organisations across the corporate, public and not-for-profit sectors. I have a Bachelor of Arts (Marketing & Journalism) from Curtin University.
Who do you admire for their sustainability leadership?
Jane Goodall. Her passion and commitment to the environment has been unwavering, long before sustainability was a concept. I admire her ability to connect with people from all walks of life and advocate for a healthier planet. I also love the work of Western Australian Indigenous Elder Kim Collard for his Giving Back to Community initiatives and his social and environmental procurement business, Kulbardi.
