What is your role at Futureproof?
I am the Client Services Manager at Futureproof. My primary responsibilities include advising clients on developing and executing successful sustainability strategies that build internal competencies and maximise stakeholder value. I analyse global sustainability and ESG trends, particularly in the resources industry, ensuring our clients adopt the latest and most efficient methodologies, guidelines and standards.
What shaped your interest in sustainability?
I’ve always been passionate about understanding and influencing the dynamics between industrial development, communities and their environments. My professional experience in corporate responsibility, stakeholder engagement and sustainability strategy development across both private and public sectors in Australia and overseas has further shaped this passion. Evaluating corporate ESG performance and devising strategies for climate change readiness have reinforced my commitment to fostering sustainable development.
Who do you admire for their sustainability leadership?
I greatly admire those who have made significant contributions to sustainability leadership, particularly those who have pioneered innovative approaches in the resources sector. One such person is Christiana Figueres, the former Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Her relentless dedication to achieving the Paris Agreement and her continued advocacy for sustainable development inspires me to push boundaries and drive impactful change within the industry.
