What is your role at Futureproof?
At Futureproof, I help businesses navigate ESG frameworks, sustainability trends and reporting requirements so they can create meaningful impact. With a background in Environmental Science and Communication Studies, my role blends research, analysis, and storytelling to deliver transparent sustainability reports that drive real-world change. What excites me the most is being able to connect business goals with tangible conservation outcomes while helping organisations succeed, reducing climate risks and protecting the natural world.
What shaped your interest in sustainability?
As a teenager, I dreamed of working for National Geographic because I loved the idea of telling powerful environmental stories. When I began studying journalism, I realised I didn’t just want to write about the challenges, I wanted to be part of the solution. That’s what led me toward my Degree in Environmental Science and into a career in sustainability consulting, combining science, communication and action to drive change on a broader scale.
Who do you admire for their sustainability leadership?
I admire Paul Nicklen, marine biologist and co-founder of the conservation organisation, SeaLegacy, whose photography and storytelling shine a light on environmental challenges and mobilise action. In sustainability consulting, I see a parallel: helping organisations identify their impacts, communicate them effectively and implement strategies that drive real change. Just as Nicklen turns awareness into action through compelling stories, I aim to help businesses turn their sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes that benefit both people and the planet.
