What is your role at Futureproof?
I head up Strategy and Innovation at Futureproof. I lead internal innovation projects and provide support to our team on consulting engagements. I have over a decade of experience within the HSE consulting sector and specialise in cultural and transformative change. I have a Masters Degree in Environmental Management from the University of Notre Dame, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Edinburgh and postgraduate qualifications in Work, Health, and Safety, as well as Lead Auditor certifications.
What shaped your interest in sustainability?
My journey into sustainability started in university when I volunteered on terrestrial and marine environmental research projects in Honduras during summer breaks. After university, I worked in Costa Rica on a research project with marine turtles before moving to Perth and getting into the mining industry. Seeing the environmental impacts firsthand, I became driven to help companies do better and improve their sustainability efforts.
Who do you admire for their sustainability leadership?
Sir David Attenborough for his lifelong dedication to environmental advocacy. For using his platform to raise awareness about climate change and inspire action, bringing clarity and urgency to environmental issues for a new generation.
