What is your role at Futureproof?

As a Sustainability Analyst, I support in the delivery of sustainability reports, strategic development, materiality assessments, ESG ratings agency engagement and sustainability framework alignment. I have a Bachelor of Business (Marketing & Economics) from Murdoch University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Assessment & Management from Edith Cowan University. I strive to transform genuine sustainability commitments into effective action.

What shaped your interest in sustainability?

My interest in sustainability began during my time at primary school, being involved with non-profit organisations such as WaterAid and Mobile Muster. Learning about the positive achievements of these organisations led me to recognise the importance of sustainable practices to preserve the resources on which we all depend on. These experiences inspired me to pursue an education in environmental studies and to build a career where I can create positive impacts and effective change.

Who do you admire for their sustainability leadership?

I admire Erik Cutter, Managing Director of Alegria Fresh who promotes organic soil-based agriculture through zero-waste, regenerative urban microfarming. The company aims to connect individuals to the source of their food and how it should be grown to optimise microbiome health. These factors influence positive change in resource management and creates green jobs in urban agriculture. Sustainable agriculture is a vital component to combat climate change and ensures we have access to nutrient-rich food for generations to come.
